Report Install Wizard

Once you have downloaded the software...

...follow these written steps when using the Report X setup installation wizard:

File 304Select the installation language.
File 305Once the installation wizard has completed its preparations, the ‘Welcome’ screen is displayed. Clicking ‘Next’ starts the installation process.
File 306The software ‘License Agreement’ is presented. The agreement must be accepted by clicking the ‘I accept the agreement’ radio button for the install to proceed. Once the radio button has been clicked, the ‘Next’ button will become active.
File 307The next window details the bare minimum PC specifications for the installation to be successful. Clicking ‘Next’ opens...
File 308... the ‘Customer Information’ window. The installation wizard looks on the system for details of the user name and company. If these are present, they will be shown in the two boxes. If these are blank, please enter your details, using the ‘Tab’ key to move between the fields. When you have finished this section of the install process, click on the ‘Next’ button...
File 310... opens the ‘Installation type’ window, which enables you to choose between:
  • Collection Server - the main install of report X, which collects and processes the raw call data from the phone system and services any ‘Reporting Client’ installs.

  • Reporting Client - can only be installed after the ‘Collection Server’ has been installed and fully configured. The number of ‘Reporting Clients’ which can be serviced by the ‘Collection Server’ is limited by the number of ‘Client Licenses’ purchased.

  • Standalone Install - this install should only be used if the PC is standalone without any network connection.

Click the ‘radio button’ to select the ‘Collection Server’, then click ‘Next’.
File 309The installer will now ask if you wish to create a new blank database. For a new install the answer will always be ‘Yes’. Clicking this button will close this window...
File 311... and open the ‘Database Installation’ window. Click the radio button alongside the appropriate database to select that option, then click ‘Next'.
File 312The next window is the ‘Select Destination Location’. We strongly advise the you accept the default location:
C:\Program Files\Oak Telecom\AI Office
If for any reason this has to be changed, clicking the ‘Browse’ button opens a ‘Choose Folder’ window which enables you to select an alternative location for report X. Clicking ‘Next’...
File 313... opens the ‘Select Start Menu Folder’, which by default is ‘Oak Telecom | AI Office’. You can browse to a different location but we strongly recommend accepting the default setting. Clicking ‘Next’...
File 314... opens the ‘Select Additional Task’ window which, if the check-box is ticked will add a shortcut to report X on the ‘Desktop’.

File 315Ready to Install’ is the final window of the wizard, prior to the software being loaded onto the system.

If you are satisfied that all the settings are correct, then click the ‘Next’ button.

If you need to make any changes, clicking the ‘Back’ button will move back through the windows one at a time.

When the ‘Next’ button has been pressed, the installation wizard will start installing the software.

File 316The progress of the software installation is shown on the bar-graph in the ‘Installing’ window.
File 317You will be asked if 'Toll Fraud Alarms' should be added to the 'Active Reports' module. We recommend the you click 'Yes'.
File 318As an integral part of the main report X install, Oak 'Quick Launch' is loaded on to the computer. Select the 'Install Language'
You also have the option to change both the 'RSS News Feed' and File 319'Dealer Website' used by 'Quick Launch'.

File 320When the installation process finishes, you have the option to view the 'ReadMe' file, which details the system requirements for the software and details any updates to the application.

You will need to restart the PC/Server before continuing the installation of report X.  Once the machine has restarted, clicking on "Collecting and Translating Call Data" on the left-hand side menu will show you how to continue with the setup.
