Selective Deletion

File 118To open Comm Suite 'Setup' you click the 'Comm Suite Setup' link on Oak 'Quick Launch' (located in the'Tooltray').
File 119The default login is 'Supervisor' with the password 'red'.
File 120Select 'Telephone System' from the 'Standard Settings' (upper left of the window)...
File 121... and double-click the 'Site' shown in the main pane. The 'Site' configuration details will now open - select the 'Call Recording' tab.

File 179The 'Rules' tab allows you to define rules to apply to the 'Call Recordings' on the 'record X' system.

Click the 'Add Rule' button (highlighted in the screen-shot) to create a new 'Rule'.

♣ Note: Calls marked for 'Deletion' can only be deleted when they have been 'Matched'. Assuming a call has been 'Matched', upon completion the 'Deletion Rule' will be applied immediately. If the'Matching' is below the 'Positive Match' percentage threshold, the call will not be deleted until midnight.

File 180The first field defines the 'Rule Type', which can be:

  • Extension
  • DDI
  • CLI
  • Dialled Number

The 'Rule Type' is selected from the drop-menu with a single mouse click.

File 181'Operator' defines the way in which the entry in the next field is treated. The options are:

  • Equals - a single number
  • Greater Than - a single number
  • Less Than - a single number
  • In List - more than one number. The numbers are separated by a comma, or if the numbers are sequential, the lowest and highest are entered, separated by two dots, e.g. '202,204,206..210,212'
  • In Range - two numbers defining the lowest and highest numbers separated by a dash, e.g. '202-210'.

File 182The 'Details' field is where the number or numbers are entered, e.g. '212' to delete all 'Call Recordings' belonging to 'Extension 212' (using the 'Equals' 'Operator'.

If you were to enter '202,204,206..210,212' (using the 'In List' 'Operator') all the 'Call Recordings' for extensions, 202, 204, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210 & 212 would be deleted.

'Dialled Number' works in exactly the same way - remember to include the dialling code.

The final field ('Action') has three options:

  • Delete - deletes the 'Call Recordings' that match the criteria set in the 'Rule'immediately
  • Mark Deleted - This means you must manually delete that calls that match the criteria.
  • Disable - the configured 'Rule' is currently not in use.

♣ Note: When 'Archiving' is performed by the system, any calls which have been tagged with 'Mark Deleted' will left in place because the 'Storage Management' system will assume these calls which are marked as being 'Deleted' no longer exist and will therefore be ignored!

File 183To completely remove (delete) an existing 'Rule', highlight it with a single mouse-click and then click the'Delete Selected Rule' button (highlighted in the screen-shot).
