Prerequisites

 

You must install Report first and follow the instructions as per the Install and Administration Guide menus...

Ensure you are using one of the following Windows Operating Systems:

  • XP Pro
  • Vista 32-bit
  • Windows 7 32-bit
  • Windows 7 64-bit
  • Server 2003 32-bit
  • Server 2008 32-bit
  • Server 2008 64-bit
  • Server 2008 R2-bit

Display is NOT compatible with any other operating system.  Our software CAN work on a virtual machine.

The minimum server spec is as follows:

  • 1.0GHz Pentium 4
  • 512 MB RAM. 1GB if Vista or later.  
  • XGA Graphics capable of showing resolution of 1024 x 768
  • Minimum 80GB Hard Drive. 20MB for each 100,000 calls
  • MS Internet Explorer 6 or higher
  • Connected to a Local Area Network for connecting to the telephone system.  Our software can connect via serial cable if the telephone system is capable of outputting this way, and the PC/server has a free COM port

Security and Permissions

display X must be installed with full 'Administrator' rights. If the PC is part of a network (LAN or WAN, etc.) the user rights must include full network connectivity.

♣ Note: The PC must have 'Networking' fully enabled before installing display X.

If necessary, add the following TCP ports as allowable exceptions in Windows Firewall:

  • 211
  • 8090
  • 8095
  • 9007
  • 9091
  • 9092
  • 9093
  • 9094
  • 9098
  • 9099
  • 9100
  • 9102
  • 9103
  • 9400
  • 9595
  • 9999

Please note that in most cases, these port numbers will be open anyway.
