Many businesses have a need to record telephone conversations in their organization.  Call recording is very popular in call centers where management uses the recordings as a training tool, and often for order verification with customers.  Calls can be recorded to insure a specific level of customer service, or as a security and liability safeguard.

But what are the laws governing the use of call recording software?  The US has both Federal and State guidelines concerning recorded conversations.  This means what is true and legal in Arizona, may not fit the regulations in Utah or any other state.  Australia, Canada, and the UK also have laws and regulations governing call recording.
